Faisalabad, formerly known as Lyallpur, is the hub of textile industry of Pakistan. A small city founded in 1980, it is now often referred to as the &lsquo;Manchester of Pakistan&rsquo; because of its rapid industrial growth. It is the third most populous city of Pakistan and the second largest in the eastern province of Punjab.
