Islamabad: While addressing a public meeting on Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to spend Rs100 billion annually on a 10 year development plan for tribal districts in FATA. He asked to initiate a three- week consultative process, starting with Bajaur.
The consultative process looks forward to keeping locals and representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on board. This would help the development work direct itself towards needs of stakeholders.
According to Special Assistant to PM on media, development work in health, education, infrastructure, tourism and law and order has already been started.
PM himself will regularly monitor the area’s development programme.
