IT Exports: Pakistan earns $1051mn in five months

ISLAMABAD: As per the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), IT Services’ exports of the country soared by 37.55 per cent by earning $1051.050mn in revenues from January to May in 2021-22 as compared to $764.100 million earned during the same period in the last fiscal year.

According to details, the computer services export increased this year by 39.39 per cent earning  $826.800 compared to $593.170 million last fiscal year.

The information services exports in the period under consideration surged by 83.45 per cent earning up to US$2.660 million as compared to US$1.450 million in the same period last year.

According to the data provided by PBS, the telecommunication services export also increased in the time period under consideration by 30.75 per cent, amounting to  $221.590 million from $169.480.
