Olive oil:

Olive oil is the perfect buffing ingredient for furniture. Olive oil is known to enhance the longevity of the furniture and add extra years to your furniture life. Just take some olive oil on a piece of cloth and clean stainless steel, including pots, pans, and appliances.

You can also put olive oil on any piece of cloth and rub it in circular motions on any surface to get rid of stains and dirty spots.

Use lemon as disinfectants:

Proper garbage disposal is crucial if you want to maintain a clean and odor-free home. Lemons are your best friend if you’re going to keep a clean and clog-free garbage disposal area. To deodorize garbage disposal, put water into containers, cut the lemons into small pieces, and put them in the containers.

Baking soda and vinegar:

Baking soda and vinegar is the perfect combo to give new life to your bathroom tubs. This 10-minute hack will leave your tub good as new. Get one cup of vinegar, add half a cup of baking soda with hot water and pour into the tub. Make sure that the tub is empty. Let the mixture sit in the tub for about five minutes. After that, start filling the tub with hot water until it is approximately one-quarter filled. Then, leave the tub with this mixture again for five minutes. Lastly, drain and rinse the tub thoroughly.

You can use the same hack to clean your toilets. Baking soda helps in the removal of hard stains and dirty spots and also acts as a disinfectant.

DIY Aromatherapy:

According to Wikipedia, Aromatherapy is a pseudoscience based on the usage of aromatic materials, including essential oils and other aroma compounds, with claims for improving psychological or physical well-being.

Aromatherapy might be costly, but you can also DIY at home in simple steps. It is perfect for shining sinks and tubs as well. To achieve a sleek and clean sink and tub, mix baking soda, drops of lemon and basil essential oils, and dish soap. Apply the mixture over the desired surfaces with the help of a sponge and let it settle for ten minutes. Then, rinse the surfaces with warm water and see the difference.

Clean the microwave:

Essential oils are excellent mediums to clean appliances such as microwaves and electric ovens. Lemon oil is used to clean microwaves. The citric acid in it cuts off the dirt and leaves the range fresh and new.

Add 15 drops of lemon essential oil into one and a half cups of water to a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on high for five to 10 minutes. The liquid will condense into steam on the walls of the microwave. Once the liquid is reduced, you can wipe the dirt and food that remains with a wet sponge.

Another way to clean your microwave within minutes is with the help of a sponge. Run the sponge through water and place the damp sponge in the microwave for two minutes. This idea will kill all the bacteria in the microwave.

Glass cleaner:

Store-bought glass cleaners are costly. If you do not want to spend money on glass cleaners, try to make your own at home. Mix white vinegar, distilled water, drops of essential oil, and shake it well. Spray the liquid over the glass and wipe it off with a dry cloth. This is an affordable and easy way to clean your windows, mirrors, or even shower doors.

Grease remover:

Lemon acts as the perfect grease remover, thanks to its acidic properties. It not only gives you scent benefits but also removes stubborn grease stains naturally. Pour a mixture of one cup water, one cup vinegar, and lemon essential oil into a spray bottle and spray on your stovetop. Let it sit for a few minutes and wipe off the surface. If you have tough stains and dirt spots on the stove, you can also sprinkle baking soda on the surface. Then, spray the lemon liquid and wipe it off the surface.

 Remove pet hair:

Pets are adorable, no doubt about it. However, we also know that it is challenging to get rid of pet hair. Vacuum cleaners are usually used to get rid of pet hair, but if you want to get rid of every single pet hair, rubber gloves will get the job done, that too, very easily. Just put on rubber gloves and rub down any areas that need extra cleaning. Rinse the gloves with water when you’re done.

Clean the mattress:

We can change and wash our bedding every week, but passing the mattress every week is not possible.  But do not worry because we can keep the bed clean with a kitchen item.

It is crucial to clean the mattress regularly to get rid of dust mites, dead skin cells, and dust particles.

Spray the mattress with vinegar, sprinkle baking soda on the bed, place a towel over the area, and leave it for one to two hours. Then use your vacuum and remove the mixture from the mattress.

Dust window blinds:

Window blind requires regular cleaning because they tend to accumulate dust fast. All you need is a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture with an old clean sock. Swipe the hose on the blind, and all the dust will come off quickly.

The dishwasher as a multi-cleaner:

Hairbrush, flip flops accumulate dust and dirt very quickly. But, you can clean them within minutes, all thanks to the dishwasher. The dishwasher is not only used to wash dishes but is also used to clean other things as well including Rubber flip-flops, canvas sneakers, baseball caps, makeup brushes, non-electrical plastic, rubber toys, contacts lens case, hairbrushes and combs, showerheads, plastic, and metal garden tools, and refrigerator shelves.
