The agreement signed between CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed and NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik states that NADRA will be responsible for developing a biometric system for the process of sale, purchase, and transfer of properties.

The move comes after a hike in fraudulent activities such as forgeries and deceptive attempts at selling properties in Islamabad.

NADRA Chairman highlighted the significance of this system, as it will offer a digitised solution that can help transform transactions in the public service delivery by cutting down the risk of forgery and illegitimate transactions.

He also added that the deployment of this system on a large scale will bring transparency to the CDA’s systems, along with reducing unlawful activities within the real estate market by ensuring the identification of both buyers and sellers.
