LAHORE: The local government development scheme worth Rs89,560 million was approved by the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 28th meeting of the fiscal year 2020-21.

As per the details, the meeting was presided over by Chairman Planning and Development(P&D) Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal and attended by Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, members of the P&D Board, provincial secretaries of concerned departments, Senior Chief (Coord) Javed Latif, Assistant Chief Coordination Shahid Idrees and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Abdullah Khan Sumbal said that the focus of the government is to provide essential services like safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to its citizens in all areas of rural and urban Punjab. He further added that the services could be provided through the development of relevant infrastructure to ensure efficient delivery.
