Karachi's Saddar Town
Saddar is the only part in Karachi that is reminiscent of the colonial period. Its engineering is arranged in the heart of the city and consists of various structures that were planned and erected by British planners in the nineteenth century. The word "Saddar" refers to the "head" or "central" of an organisation or a group of people.Saddar Town is a fitting name for the neighbourhood, as it is Karachi's commercial centre.Kharadar, Meethadar, Jodia Bazar, Bolton Showcase, and Nanakwara are some of Karachi's most prominent and well-known neighbourhoods. Kharadar (Salty Entryway) and Mithadar (Sweet Entryway) have a long history dating back to pre-colonial times. These two locations were given their names after two doors that were discovered.
