Gwadar has a hot desert climate, characterized by little precipitation and high variation between summer and winter temperatures.
Gwadar enjoys a special place in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Silk Route Initiative, holding pivotal importance as hub of connectivity for the Corridor, and an indispensable interchange for the latter. Rampant development is underway in Gwadar facilitating government and private residential and commercial projects.
