
LAHORE: A total of 5.2 mn tonnes of cement was sold in October 2021, the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) announced.
The cement sale in October 2021 marked a decrease of 9.07% compared to 5.74 million tons in October 2020.
In addition, a total of 4.6 million tonnes of cement was dispatched locally.
The northern-based mills recorded a sale of 3.83 million tonns of cement in the domestic market last month. Whereas the sale in the southern region was recorded at 771,755 tonnes, marking an increase of 11 per cent compared to 695,221 tons in October 2020.
On the other hand, the exports from the southern mills were recorded at 538,276 tonnes in October 2021, marking a decrease of 9% as compared to 591,877 tonns during the same month last year.
