ISLAMABAD: With the bids open for the construction of Lehtrar Road by CDA, the lowest bid received was 3.97% below the cost of the project of Rs 199 million on Monday.
Six companies participated in the bidding, and CDA is all set to award the project to the lowest bidder, once all the formalities are complete, informed CDA spokesperson, Syed Safdar Ali. Once the construction starts, the project will be completed within a year.
Due to the poor conditions of the bridge, all kinds of traffic movements were terminated for seven years. As the new project is designed to be 152 meters long and 11.5 meters wide, it will solve the longstanding traffic issues in the area and relieve the nearby localities to Kotli Satiyan and Kashmir.
