CDA Crackdowns on Illegal Buildings in Islamabad

Islamabad: In a swift response to the directives of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), actions are being taken to eliminate encroachments and illegal buildings in Islamabad city. In this series, the Building Control South and North Directorates, through various areas, have sealed an additional 17 buildings. During the two-day operations, a total of 28 buildings have been sealed in different areas for violations of building by-laws.

According to details, the Building Control Directorate, in collaboration with the Enforcement Directorate, joined forces with the district administration and Islamabad Police on Friday to take strict action against building violations in Multi-Professional Cooperative Housing Society, Sector B-17. 17 buildings, which were constructed without CDA approval, were sealed, and notices were issued to the owners.

It is noteworthy that on Thursday in Jeddah Town, 10 buildings, and in Aghosh Housing Society, one building under unauthorized construction, were sealed, and notices were also issued to the owners.

On this occasion, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration emphasizes that the implementation of the master plan for beautifying Islamabad city should be ensured in all circumstances. The operation against building violations will continue with this sequence of actions. Such actions are expected to be continued against illegal buildings in the coming weeks.
