CM Punjab gives approval of mega development projects

LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar while presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development gave approval to the various development projects.

According to the details, the meeting gave the approval of projects pertaining to the development of new Hospitals in the various districts of Punjab.

The Punjab government will build a new District Headquarter Hospital in Hafizababd worth Rs8bn. Similarly, the provincial government has allocated Rs25cr for revamping the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) in district Khushab.

Furthermore, as per the details, the cabinet meeting also gave a nod to converting various colleges, universities, and hospitals to solar energy in order to save electricity.

The meeting was apprised that the conversion of various institutions on solar energy will conserve 45pc of the electricity.

The participants of the meeting included Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Provincial Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, officials of local governments, and representatives of the education and health department.
