
QUETTA: Overcoming the acute water shortage faced by the province, Minister for Public Health and Engineering Balochistan Noor Muhammad Dummar inaugurated a dam and Karez in Sanjavi.
To further address the issue, two large generators have also been provided to PHE Loralai to ensure an improved supply and solve the existing issues, the minister informed.
Due to the shortage earlier, people of the province resorted to unregulated means of extraction of groundwater, as well as, through tube wells to fulfil their needs. Through this dam, the government has stepped up to resolve the issue regarding the supply of drinking water, which was earlier faced due to load shedding.

Dummar informed that the proposal submitted by the Municipal Committee has been approved, and the construction work for the playground project will also be started after proper alignment.
