
The Director General (DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Capt. (R) Tahir Zafar Abbasi called on the Land Development and Estate Management (LD&EM) Directorate to facilitate citizens by accelerating all construction activities in RDA’s jurisdiction.
The performance of RDA’s directorates was reviewed in this meeting, and DG RDA instructed the concerned officers to double their efforts to address the gap in infrastructure facilities.
Chief Engineer RDA, Director Administration and Finance, Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), Director Land Development and Estate Management (LD&EM), Director Engineering and other RDA officers were also in attendance.
DG RDA also asked the Director MP&TE to get approval for all residential and commercial projects. He also ordered strict action against encroachments, illegal and unauthorised construction, without any tolerance.
He told Director LD&EM to digitise all records and ensure that all construction work is executed in the shortest possible time frame.
DG RDA emphasised that quality shouldn’t be compromised despite the short timeline.
