RAWALPINDI: A fire broke out in a room of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Headquarters Building, located in Liaquat Bagh, due to short-circuiting shortly before Iftar today.
Officials of Rescue 1122 immediately rushed to the spot and successfully managed to put out the fire and take control of the situation.
The senior management of the authority, including WASA Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mahmood also rushed to the spot to review the situation. No casualties have been reported on the incident and no official records were lost in the accident.
On this occasion, Director General RDA Capt (R) Abdul Sattar Issani also took notice of the incident immediately and has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
