IMARAT has made history by becoming Pakistan’s first certified Marriott International operator, a landmark achievement that has set new standards for the country’s hospitality industry. With this milestone, IMARAT has not only strengthened its legacy in real estate but has also stepped into the global hospitality arena through IMARAT Hospitality, its dedicated hospitality arm.
The recognition came after 14 months of rigorous training with the Fastrack to Franchising Academy (FFA), which equipped the IMARAT team with international expertise and certification to represent one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality brands.
The graduation ceremony was more than just a celebration. It was a defining moment. Among those present was Sean Brennan, Director of the Fastrack to Franchising Academy at Marriott International, who flew in from London to honor the occasion. Sharing his excitement, he said:
“It has been a privilege to spend time with all of you. I am truly excited to see IMARAT’s growth, especially as it becomes Pakistan’s first Marriott-approved operator.”
Also joining as the special guest was Sardar Yasir Ilyas, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism. He praised IMARAT’s achievement, noting:
“I have not seen this much energy and passion. IMARAT becoming Pakistan’s first Marriott operator is a proud moment for the nation. This milestone will raise hospitality standards, attract global visitors, and strengthen our tourism and investment potential.”
For IMARAT’s Chairman, Shafiq Akbar, this milestone reflects the group’s larger vision of always moving forward:
“Pakistan’s competition is global, not local. At IMARAT, we push ourselves to set higher benchmarks, and what better way than partnering with Marriott, the world’s leading hospitality brand? This is just the beginning of greater milestones.”
With this achievement, IMARAT is now ready to operate four Marriott International hotels in Pakistan, beginning with the launch of the first Courtyard by Marriott in G-11, Islamabad, next year.
With this certification, IMARAT has gone beyond real estate innovation to become a trusted custodian of global hospitality brands. For Pakistan, the milestone signals new opportunities: stronger tourism, increased foreign investment, job creation, and a chance to position the country as a serious player in the global hospitality space.
IMARAT’s graduation as the first certified Marriott International operator in Pakistan is not only a company achievement. It is also a win for Pakistan’s image on the world stage.
Over the years, IMARAT has emerged as one of Pakistan’s most progressive real estate developers, known for integrating sustainability, technology, and community-focused design into its projects. Through its leadership in PropTech, IMARAT has redefined how people buy, sell, and experience real estate in Pakistan, bringing innovation and transparency to the sector.
With IMARAT Hospitality, the group has extended this vision to the world of hospitality, aiming to deliver the same innovation-driven excellence to hotels and guest experiences. Partnering with Marriott International is a natural step forward, reflecting IMARAT’s ability to operate at global standards and lead Pakistan’s hospitality transformation
