MULTAN: The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has issued a strict warning to unauthorized housing schemes, stating that they will not be permitted under any circumstances.
In a recent meeting chaired by the Director General (DG) of MDA, Dr Zahid Akram, the performance of directors was evaluated, and it was emphasized that housing schemes lacking proper approval will face severe consequences.
Officers have been directed to file First Information Reports (FIR) against the owners of illegal housing societies and to identify housing schemes without approval.
Furthermore, the DG MDA has instructed officers to seal and demolish all illegal housing colonies. He has also cautioned officers to implement a zero-tolerance policy against such schemes, or else they will face strict action.
In essence, MDA’s recent warning to illegal housing schemes is a clear indication of their commitment to enforcing the law and upholding the rights of citizens.
This step is expected to deter unscrupulous individuals from engaging in illegal housing activities and will promote the growth of authorized housing projects in the city.
