Islamabad: The Federal Commission constituted to revise the master plan of Islamabad discussed the proposals regarding the revision of the plan.
The continuous increase in the population of the capital has led to congestion and lack in development of various amenities such as sanitation and drainage system. The capital is plagued with traffic issues and governments have installed measures and completed various projects to reduce the burden on the internal roadways. The master plan was designed to be revised every 20 years, but no such revision has taken place.
The Federal Commission is adamant to hasten the process of revision. This meeting was convened by Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Amer Ali Ahmed at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) office. The meeting was attended by Kurram Farid Bargatt Vice-Chairman PCATP, Suleman Mansoor Architect, Naveed Aslam Architect, Ali Asgher, Nayab Hassan Gardezi renowned lawyer, Member Planning of the Authority, Director Master Planning, Director Building Control, Director Regional Planning and other officers concerned.
