
KARACHI: The recovery of Rs3.4 billion through plea bargains has been duly approved by the accountability court. In addition to the cancellation of land, NAB Karachi has recovered more than Rs702 billion, informed Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
One hundred more references will also be filed in the province by the end of this year, he stated at a ceremony held for the inauguration of ‘Investigation Wing-II’ of NAB located in Balochistan House, Clifton.
The recovery made by NAB has played a part in the economic growth of the country.
While speaking at the occasion Director General NAB Karachi retired Brig Farooq Naseer Awan highlighted the role of NAB, saying the recoveries made this year were five times higher than the previous year.
