QUETTA: The Balochistan Public Health Engineering (PHE) has taken initiative to suggest remedial measures to alleviate the water shortage problem in Balochistan by suggesting the construction of three dams.
According to the details, the PHE department has prepared the feasibility report and requested the Federal government to include these dams in the Federal Private Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2023-24.
As per sources, the PC-1 for the dams namely Babar Kach Dam, Brij Aziz Khan Dam and Halak Dam have been prepared.
The estimated cost of Babar Kach Dam is Rs73 billion, Burj Aziz Khan Dam Rs48 billion and Halak Dam Rs22 billion.
