
Lahore: Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed has termed Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme a reflection of social welfare. A total of 2.5 million of low-cost houses will be built in Punjab.
The scheme will be made affordable to the low-income strata of the society and shall be extended to rural areas gradually.
The scheme will also consider Prime Minister Imran Khan’s proposal for vertical growth and the development of new cities. Housing department’s Urban Unit has been tasked with the preparation of a feasibility report in this regard.
