2nd batch of real estate certification passes out

ISLAMABAD: To acknowledge the contribution of youth in real estate business, the certification distribution ceremony was held at National University of Science and Technology’s (NUST) professional development center (PDC) in partnership with renowned real estate entity Graana.Com on Friday.

Graana.com under its cooperation with NUST has been organizing a certification of 4-week long course on real estate since Jan 2021, while the 2nd batch of this prestigious learning opportunity comprising on 32 students successfully passed out from NUST-PDC after completing the course on July 1st 2021.

The ceremony was observed by pro-rector NUST, Dr. Rizwan Riaz, chief executive officer (CEO) Graana.com, Mr. Shafiq Akbar, group director Mr. Farhan Javed, passing out students and management of NUST-PDC as well.

The CEO graana.com, Mr. Shafiq Akbar in his remarks said that certification is the result of the capacity building needs assessment conducted by graana.com in collaboration of NUST, adding ‘we congratulate to all students who successfully completed this certification with effusively commitment and interest.’, he maintained.

The group director, Mr. Farhan Javed while addressing the ceremony expressed his gratitude to all students effectively completed this certification said that Graana is striving to promote equal opportunities for male and female at the grass-root level to increase the representation of youth in real estate sector.

Graana.com and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) are collaborating to introduce Pakistan’s first-ever educational course on real estate. After passing out of 2nd batch, the 3rd batch of four-week programme – certification in Real Estate Science – Level 1, shall be conducted at NUST, Islamabad, from August 6, while the interviews of short-listed applicants will be conducted on July 27-28.

Among those teaching the course, are Chairman Imarat Group of Companies and CEO Graana.com Mr. Shafiq Akbar. Akbar holds a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MSc in Public Policy.

Besides this, other experts in the area of real estate who are teaching course modules are – Group Director Mr Farhan Javed, and senior professionals of the company, including country sales head, Asim Iftikhar, deputy general manager organizational development, Saima Latif and head of legal department, Iqra Musaddaq.

Having entered Pakistan’s real estate sector just five years ago with a tech-savvy bang for all potential real estate users – both ends – Graana.com has notched up many a first, and is here to stay while revolutionizing real estate on the way.
