
ISLAMABAD: In a meeting held with Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Aziz Uqaili at CBC Gwadar, the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) discussed six development projects for the port city.
The list of proposed projects includes designating the construction of a 1.2 MGD desalination plant for Gwadar, organising Expo-2022, boosting the agricultural sector by allocating 10 acres of land in the North Free Zone for the commercial cultivation of specific vegetation and conducting research with a tissue culture lab, and establishing fish processing plants in the South Free Zone to achieve maximal production capacity,
The projects will elevate the locals’ living standards and provide employment opportunities.
