Addressing the issue, the minister termed the current condition of the Lyari Expressway “unsatisfactory” and vowed to turn it into a model infrastructure project. “This is my commitment to the people of Karachi: the Lyari Expressway will be completely transformed,” he assured.

Khan also announced that construction work on two key motorway projects, the M-6 (Sukkur–Hyderabad) and M-10 (Hyderabad–Karachi Port), will commence within the current fiscal year. He described the initiatives as a “gift from the Federal Government to the people of Sindh”, aimed at enhancing connectivity between Karachi Port and the rest of Pakistan.

The minister emphasised that these projects will greatly improve trade and logistics efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and quality. He shared these updates via his official X account during his visit to Karachi for the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC 2025).
