Rawalpindi: On Sunday, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza said that all RDA services were being provided under one roof through a modern one-window operation centre.
The centre’s online facilities promote the ease of doing business for the people as they can easily access the status and information of their applications.
At the centre, there are five RDA directorates’ counters that determine the outcome of the citizens’ applications in a given time period, Murtaza added.
Speaking to journalists, he said the aim of the centre was to facilitate people and save them from going to multiple offices. “Now, they need only submit an application at the centre and get the decision’s copy from the same office”.
He further informed that for change in land use, the NOC application would only take 45 days, the approval of map and completion of construction certificates would take 30 days, and 60-75 days for residential societies’ permits.
Commenting on the Ring Road Project, the Chairman highlighted that the project would help lessen the traffic load on main city roads. He informed that the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was awarded the road’s contract worth Rs. 22.8 billion.
