Rawalpindi: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s adviser Naeem ul Haq is expected to give briefing to PM on the long delayed Ammar Shaheed Chowk remodelling and extension project.
Despite being a major route, the respective project worth Rs700 million has not been added to the Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) annual development programme (ADP) for the fiscal year 2019-20.
Termed inevitable five years ago, in 2017 the project was added to the priority list by Planning and Development (P&D) Department Punjab. Post completion, the project is expected to ensure smooth flow of traffic from Rawalpindi district courts to Islamabad Airport onwards to Koral Chowk through Ammar Shaheed Chowk and from Koral Chowk to Lahore, Islamabad and Chaklala.
