
QUETTA: Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan, on Tuesday, stated that the provincial government completed the construction of a 2500km road network to boost economic development.
The CM while addressing at a conference organized by Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on business opportunities in the province stated that Balochistan has a huge reservoir of natural resources.
The conference was attended by Provincial Minister Mitha Khan Kakar, Balochistan Board of Investment Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Saeed Ahmed Sarpra, Provincial Secretaries, Chief Minister’s Coordinator Bilal Khan Kakar, Balochistan Chamber of Commerce Commerce officials, Group Leader of the Chamber Sohail Altaf and Rawalpindi President of Chamber of Commerce Nasir Mirza.
Mr Jamal stated that 1800 km of roads were built this year while construction of 10,000 km road was to be completed within the next five years.
He further added that with the new road network, investment opportunities in Balochistan will mushroom in the fields of energy, minerals, tourism etc.
