
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar reviewed the progress on the Balochistan Development Programme and termed it satisfactory.
In congruence with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to alleviate and develop the underprivileged areas of Pakistan, special efforts have been made to formulate a development package. For this purpose, Minister for Planning reviewed the update on Phase-I completion of the South Balochistan Development Package (SBDP).
While analyzing the progress of the uplift schemes approved under the Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), Minster for Planning witnessed about 90 per cent of the projects are deemed approved and part of the Federal PSDP 2021-22. Of these, Rs 25.721 billion have been earmarked in the current fiscal year.
