RAWALPINDI: After a visit to Rashid Minhas Road, Divisional Commissioner Rawalpindi Capt. (R) Saqib Zafar along with Chairman Pakistan Horticultural Authority (PHA) Asif Mehmood directed all government departments to work together for the beautification of Rashid Minhas Road within the next 10 days.
DC Rawalpindi has informed that all the concerned officers have been directed to visit these roads personally to highlight every aspect, and ensure that the work is at par. Once the road is developed, work for the uplift of the rest of the city will be carried out, as it is fundamental to making the city clean and gBeautification projectood looking for the tourists as well.
Along with the plan for beautification, issues related to traffic congestion and functionality of signals and lights, encroachment, waste management, new spots for food streets, and relocation of wholesale markets will also be addressed.
PHA has been directed to ensure cutting of all wild growths and grass along roadsides.
He has directed the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation for the removal of all useless material including dustbins, curve stones and broken benches from the road.
NCA students will be engaged to paint walls for the beautification plan.
