In this regard, the government has floated advertisements in the national and international newspapers in order to secure tenders.

According to the Commissioner, the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project (RRRP) will be a harbinger of economic growth that will solve traffic issues and boost economic activity in the region. The Punjab government is committed to complete it by December 2023 with eight economic zones set up across the area.

He further stated that the government has started acquiring land for construction by compensating the owners of these lands. The land prices in these zones will increase as work on the project begins.
