
FAISALABAD: The Board of Investment (BOI) has announced to set-up Allama Iqbal Industrial City (AIIC) under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as the second Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
As per the details, the committee on AIIC has approved the allotment of 320acres of the land after which investors will be able to set-up their industries.
Chinese industry is looking to invest Rs800mn in the agriculture sector, whereas industries pertaining to the textile, metal, and ceramic sectors will also be established in the zone.
For the ease of doing business and guaranteeing transparency, the allotment of land has been done through MIS Module developed by BOI.
