
BUNER: A budget of Rs4.44 billion has been unanimously approved by the Buner District Council for the fiscal year 2019-20 on Monday.
With a major portion of the development fund allocated for health, education and tourism development, District Council members suggested an increase in funds for agriculture and rural development as well.
Rs633 million have been earmarked for the development schemes, as the members of the council were asked to submit their schemes immediately so that work on them could be initiated without delay.
The meeting was also attended by District Finance Officer Javid Khan and Rural Development Department Assistant Director Amanullah Khan. The council members have been asked to keep a vigilant check on the schemes to ensure quality work.
