In the meeting, proposed amendments to the Punjab Lease Policy for state lands were reviewed. It was unanimously agreed upon that that in future all leases and sale of state land will be made through open auction. Steps would be taken to enhance the existing rent of leased out state lands on par with market rates.

Raja Basharat has directed departments to scrutinize the status of organizations occupying state land on lease since years. He ordered the officers to stop any kind of privatization of state lands until the Punjab Privatization Board was revived.
