ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a massive operation to clear Islamabad of illegal constructions and encroachments in Park Enclave-III on the directive of its Chairman, Captain Noor Ul Amin Mengal.
The operation was carried out swiftly with the participation of the Enforcement Directorate, Land and Rehabilitation, Islamabad Administration, and Islamabad Police.
According to details, 96 rooms, 25 kitchens, 32 washrooms, 5 verandas, and 15 illegally constructed walls on government land were demolished with heavy machinery.
During the operation, four individuals were also arrested for obstructing the operation.
The objective of the operation is to eradicate encroachments from the land earmarked for sectors.
While addressing the media, Chairman CDA said that the aim is to complete the remaining development work of Park Enclave as soon as possible after the eradication of encroachments.
He further added that after clearing Park Enclave-III of encroachments, action will also be taken against encroachments in Phase I and Phase II.
The operation is being monitored by the CDA Chairman Captain Nour Alam Mengal himself, while the other members of the operation are overseeing the implementation of his directives.
