Islamabad: The chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has instructed officials to accelerate the process of handing over developed plots to allottees in several sectors of the federal capital.
The directive was issued during a review meeting at CDA headquarters attended by senior officials, including members of administration, finance, planning and design, engineering, and the environment.
During the briefing, officials informed the chairman that development work in Sector C-14 is nearing completion. Basic infrastructure has been installed, and more than 95 percent of electricity supply arrangements are in place. The installation of light poles, street signboards, and landscaping along major roads is also progressing quickly. Randhawa directed officials to install digital information boards at sector entry points and announced plans to visit the site to monitor the process of handing over plot possession.
In Sector C-15, work on the sub-base of 37 streets is currently underway, while efforts continue to secure a no-objection certificate for the construction of a railway bridge. Development activities in Sector E-12 are also progressing, with road sub-base work in sub-sectors 1 and 2 almost complete and rapid progress reported near the commercial centre.
Meanwhile, the construction of service roads in Sector I-12 is nearing completion and expected to commence soon.
The CDA chairman emphasized the need to install proper signboards, prepare e-maps to identify plot locations, resolve electricity-related issues at Park Enclave, remove encroachments, and complete road carpeting in the sectors under development.
Randhawa reiterated that providing modern residential facilities to Islamabad residents remains a top priority for the CDA and directed officials to remove any hurdles delaying development work so that plot possession can be handed over to allottees without further delay.
