Home to iconic species like the elusive leopard, barking deer, and Kaleej Pheasant, the Margalla Hills play a crucial role in Islamabad’s natural and cultural heritage. Acknowledging the urgent need for conservation, CDA and ICT vowed to intensify efforts to safeguard this ecosystem for future generations.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized the significance of collective action, urging collaboration between government agencies, environmental organizations, and local communities. He reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to strengthening conservation strategies against threats like habitat destruction, poaching, and climate change.

In celebration of World Wildlife Day, CDA and ICT called on citizens to take an active role in preserving Margalla Hills’ rich biodiversity. “Wildlife protection is a shared responsibility, and every individual can contribute to maintaining the natural beauty and ecological balance of Islamabad,” the statement highlighted.
