As Islamabad is on the fault line and lies in Zone-2B of seismic zones, Deputy Director General Mohammad Shahbaz Hussain directed all the building control wings to conduct a survey to check the buildings.

The purpose of the survey is to check if the buildings are following the construction code and have appropriate controls in place required in case of calamities. The buildings will also be assessed to check their structural soundness.
