ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed ordered to expedite the development work on the 7th Avenue Interchange project after his visit to the site on Saturday.
The chairman was briefed on the progress of the project: the construction work of the bridge and underpass has been done, and the slope roads from 7th Avenue to Chand Tara Chowk are also near completion.
The concerned departments were directed to work on landscaping and plantation to complement the ongoing restoration of the area. A presentation has to be prepared and presented before the authorities, regarding the details of this project.
The project was initiated in October 2021, and was expected to be completed within a year. However, in the interest of improving safety and congestion soon, the regulatory authority has instructed that it opens to the public by 14th August instead.
