ISLAMABAD: With an aim to increase accessibility through road connectivity for traffic, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the construction of access roads and additional loops adjacent to F-8 / G-8 underpass on Jinnah Avenue.
The objective of the decision is to avert the traffic congestion and ease the traffic flow in the sectors and Jinnah Avenue as well.
On the directives of the authority to complete the work by next week, MPO Directorate mobilised the machinery to commence immediate work on the announced project.
The authority reported that the underpass was not being properly utilised due to the non-existence of access from the Jinnah Avenue
The commuters accessing the G-9 junction on Jinnah Avenue to enter these two sectors resulted in traffic congestion at the G-9 junction and traffic jam in the vicinity.
Traffic would also use these access roads / loops to enter the service road (North) Sector G-8 and service road (South) of Sector F-8.
