According to official sources within the CDA, approximately 37 public parks have been successfully established in the last decade, and the authority is now focusing on formulating a policy to further increase the number of parks in the coming years.

“The codal formalities for the development of new parks take approximately three to four months. Currently, there are six amusement parks in the federal capital, which have adequately catered to the recreational needs of Islamabad’s residents. However, a new policy has been implemented to construct an amusement park whenever a new sector is developed,” shared the official sources.

The CDA sources revealed that numerous new sectors including I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave are currently under development. In addition to these sectors, model villages and parks are being created in the aforementioned areas.

“As these areas are completed in accordance with the approved layout plan by the Capital Development Authority, new parks will be established to meet the demands and requirements of the general public,” they added.

The initiative by the CDA is expected to greatly enhance the recreational options available to the residents of Islamabad, providing them with modern and well-maintained parks in various sectors of the capital city.
