
ISLAMABAD: To promote recreational activities, Islamabad’s first ‘Urban Forestry Park’ – spanning over an area of 350 acres in Malpur, alongside Rawal Lake will be developed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The park will also comprise of a water body stretching over the area of 35acres.
The Director Environment, CDA told that the ‘Model Forestry Park’ will be developed in the next five years at a cost of Rs.1,164 million. With a water body spanning on an area of 35 acres, the park will be accessible from Murree Expressway.
He added that the land for the project is acquired by CDA, while the development will help to regain the land of CDA illegally possessed by land encroachers.
