
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will hire a consultant for the nine-km-long 10th Avenue project after the technical bids of consultants will be opened today.
The project commencing from I.J. Principal Road, near Khayaban Stop will culminate at Khayaban-e-Iqbal junction.
The authority further announced to award the contract to conduct and submit the feasibility study, design and PC-I, after inviting financial bids. The consultant will be given six months to complete the job.
The project will be completed under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in 2020-21, for which a sum of Rs1 billion has been allocated by the Federal Government.
The 10th Avenue Project will serve as an alternate route for the residents of I-10, I-11 and nearby areas, in turn, resolving issues experienced due to traffic congestion on the 9th Avenue and I.J.P. Road.
The authority is working to launch development work before completion of the ongoing financial year.
