Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken various steps to improve the performance of its law wing. It has revised the working patterns of the lawyers to increase their output, CDA told media.
All departments have thus been intimated to provide details of the CDA related cases pending in courts. Likewise, the law wings have been directed to provide para-wise comments on issues under litigation for their quick perusal. Similarly, to ensure confidentiality, all litigants have been banned from entering law wings.
The CDA law wing categorises its lawyers based on their qualification and experience; cases are assigned to these lawyers on the basis of the cases’ financial worth. The civic agency has also asked the wing to identify all lawyers who do not perform, so that legal action against them could be initiated.
To dispose of the pending cases instantly, CDA instructed its law wing that cases where the legal opinion was sought within a week should be done with on priority basis.
