ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday formed an inquiry committee to investigate the fake and illegal allotment of plots in sector D-13.
According to a notification issued by the civic agency, the committee will be headed by Deputy Director General Estate Afnan Alam. The inquiry committee will investigate and submit a report of the matter within 10 days.
CDA’s notification stated that the Director Security CDA has reported fake and illegal plots in sub-sector D-13/2, Islamabad. To determine the facts and to identify those involved in the fake allotment, a formal inquiry will be held.
The civic authority was alerted about the fake allotments when Deputy Commissioner Sobia Toru reported that two plots in D-13 had been allotted with her fake signatures.
After holding a preliminary probe, 7 such plots were identified in the sector. The preliminary inquiry committee recommended to the CDA management to issue a notification for the cancellation of the plots and to hold a formal inquiry to investigate the matter further.
