Sector E-12, launched in 1989, saw the sale of over 4,000 plots to government officials and the public, with CDA initially committing to complete development within a year. However, the sector remained largely undeveloped despite multiple efforts, leaving allottees awaiting possession for years.

According to a CDA press release, Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review stalled sectors, including E-12. He instructed that developed plots be handed over in phases upon completion of development work and payment of dues.

Currently, development in E-12 has progressed in only two sub-sectors, while work in other areas remains pending. The CDA has now committed to expediting development across all new sectors, including C-14, C-15, and C-16. The chairman also directed officials to clear garbage from Sector I-12 and ensure completion of all outstanding work without further delay.

Additionally, the CDA has intensified enforcement actions, recently sealing five illegal marquees and commercial structures in Zones IV and V.

To ensure timely progress, the chairman has also announced plans for surprise inspections, reinforcing the authority’s renewed commitment to resolving Islamabad’s longstanding infrastructure challenges.
