ISLAMABAD: After announcing to resume the construction work on the Signal Free Controlled Access Corridor soon, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited bids for the development of the Korang Bridge.
The project approved under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is calculated to cost over Rs.741 million.
In a meeting of the Development Working Party (DWP), the committee deliberated on taking a phase-wise approach to address the existing issues pertaining to traffic.
The meeting gave the approval of phase-I, under which Korang Bridge and PWD underpass will be constructed.
After approval, a transparent bidding process has been initiated by the CDA Management for the construction of the bridge. The project will be carried out under Single Stage Two Envelope procedure, seeking bids from firms registered with Pakistan Engineering Council having valid registration Certificate.
The authority has also issued a notification to invite bids for the construction of PWD underpass at earliest.
