ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA), on Tuesday, carried out several operations to speed up the removal of encroachments.
The operation was initiated by CDA Chairman retired Capt. Noor ul-Amin Mengal. He conducted a review of the existing operations in place and ordered the Director General of the Enforcement Wing to accelerate the removal of encroachments along the IJP Road.
Moreover, the encroachments in Sector G-9 were also removed along with several encroachments on Neelum Road.
Additionally, factory owners who were using Darya Swan in Mauza Hamak Islamabad as a dumping ground to dispose of waste were issued notices under the CDA Ordinance 1960 Martial Law Regulation No. 63 and the Environmental Protection Act 2008.
