In addition to these residential initiatives, the CDA is also preparing to auction more than 35 commercial plots located in prime areas such as Blue Area and other key commercial centers. This move comes despite a previous announcement by the CDA chief to halt the auctioning of prime commercial plots.

Brochures are currently being finalized for the auction of 200 one-kanal plots in Sector C-14. The proposed price for each plot is expected to range between Rs50 and Rs60 million. Interested buyers will be required to submit an application along with a 25% deposit of the total cost, which will be refundable if a plot is not allocated.

The auction will be conducted through a balloting process. Approximately 70% of the development work in Sector C-14 has already been completed, with the remaining work focusing on the sewage system. Successful bidders will be obligated to pay the full price to the CDA in equal installments over a two-year period.

The CDA plans to invite applications for these plots later this month. Furthermore, the authority has announced its intention to launch 10 additional sectors by the next financial year. After allocating plots to landowners in exchange for acquired land, the remaining plots will be auctioned to the public through an open balloting process held at the CDA headquarters. NADRA will be involved to ensure transparency and fairness in the auction.

These initiatives are part of the CDA’s broader strategy to generate revenue and fund the development of new sectors in Islamabad. By increasing its revenue, the CDA aims to contribute to the overall growth and infrastructure of the capital city.
