CDWP approves 10 development projects worth Rs96bn

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) presided over by Deputy Chairman Planning Commi­ssion Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan approved ten projects worth Rs96.1 billion.

Out of the ten projects related to health, higher education, physical planning and housing, and water sectors, two projects were forwarded to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).

The committee approved five projects proposed by the Ministry of National Health Services, worth Rs25.8bn, including the construction of a 50-bed Cardiac Hospital costing Rs4.675bn in Gilgit Baltistan and the procurement of Mag­netic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment for Radio­logy Department, PIMS worth Rs463.450 million.
