
ISLAMABAD: The Central Working Development Party (CDWP) accorded approval for the Shagharthang Hydropower Project in Skardu that will be built at a cost of Rs8.616 billion.
The 26MW hydropower project aimed at fulfilling the electricity demand of Skardu will be completed under the federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The project approved a run-of-the-river 26MW hydropower project at Shagnarthang, which will provide electricity to the residents of Skardu valley, starting from Basho to Sermik village on the banks of the Indus River.
